NCEL Prem result: Silsden AFC 1 - 1 Beverley Town

The Beavers gained a valuable and richly deserved point on the road against a Silsden side who were riding high in the early Premier Division table.

The lads put in an excellent performance and had a great chance to come away with all 3 points. Town took the lead as early as the 11th minute through McCauley Snelgrove, only to be pegged back later in the first half when Silsden equalised in the 32nd minute.

And that's how it stayed for the rest of the match, despite us being the better team for long periods.

The point means we're up and running in the Premier Division after a tricky start to the season. But this game showed we can more than hold our own in this league and the lads will definitely be looking to kick on from this in the next game away to Eccleshill United next Wednesday.
